Any type of birth has a significant impact on the body and a lot of what happens after is triggered by hormones. For example, you will still experience heavy vaginal bleeding even if you had a cesarean. Your body will produce milk even if you don’t start breastfeeding (crazy, right?!). Your area *down there* will be affected either by vaginal tearing or haemorrhoids from constipation caused by hormones and/or painkillers.
